Study Buddy operates through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). When a student submits a query, our system searches indexed school textbook vectors inside ChromaDB. The AI model is strictly instructed by its system prompt to synthesize responses strictly from those matched textbook excerpts. If an answer cannot be found in the verified text, it explicitly states so rather than making up facts.
We support students from Class 1 through Class 12 across major curricula including GSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board), NCERT, and CBSE. You can choose your standard when starting a chat, and the AI adapts its vocabulary and conceptual depth accordingly.
Yes! In the AI Chat Studio, simply drag and drop your PDF textbook or coaching module. Our local PDF extractor parses the text, breaks it down into semantic chunks with page numbering, and embeds them into your local vector database in seconds.
All conversations are saved in an isolated MongoDB collection under your authenticated User ID. We do not sell student data, we do not track browsing behavior, and your doubts are never used to train public machine learning models.
Yes. You can type doubts in English, Gujarati (ગુજરાતી), or Hindi (हिंदी). Study Buddy parses multilingual intent and maps your query to textbook concepts, replying with clear explanations and formulas.

Study Buddy is strictly anchored to official school textbooks, provides exact page citations, adapts to your grade level (Class 1–12), and operates privately.
